Tauri 2 Rust React FFmpeg GitHub Actions

An offline, cross-platform video compressor for Discord with a Tauri shell around a Rust + React application and an FFmpeg pipeline. Over 5,000 aggregate GitHub release asset downloads as of October 2026.

  • Built strict output-size verification, bitrate correction, CPU fallback, lossless keyframe trimming, GIF export, and batch processing into one local-first workflow.
  • Added two-worker batch encoding with automatic serial fallback on encoder contention, plus detection for NVENC, AMF, QSV, VAAPI, and VideoToolbox.
  • Ships Windows, macOS, and Linux installers through GitHub Actions, with SHA-256 digest and independent Ed25519 signature verification for in-app updates.
  • Rebuilt natively in Swift for macOS at full feature parity—trim timeline, lossless export, GIF/WebP, batch queue, and presets—with an Apple Liquid Glass interface on macOS 26 and zero third-party dependencies.
  • Tuned the 7.7 size-target pipeline to land near 88% of target size at roughly half the previous encode time on long clips.

02 · FL Studio Rust

GitHub ↗
Rust egui FLP Format VST3 MIDI

A clean-room rebuild of FL Studio in Rust: an open-source DAW that reads and writes FL Studio project files losslessly, with a desktop editing shell and VST3 hosting in active development.

  • Built a lossless FLP parser and writer that round-trips complete projects, preserving every event—including data the reader does not understand yet—plus .zip project package support.
  • Implemented early Playlist, Channel Rack, Piano Roll, and Mixer views, with Windows audio playback and first WAV renders through installed VST3 instruments.
  • Clean-room by construction: developed from the documented file format and a local compatibility corpus, without loading, patching, or linking the FL Studio executable or engine.

03 · Wristex

GitHub ↗
Swift SwiftUI watchOS SSH JSON-RPC Codex

A watchOS remote control for Codex that connects directly to any reachable SSH host and streams the Codex app-server experience to Apple Watch.

  • Built a long-lived authenticated SSH channel and JSON-RPC client for streamed replies, thread status, approvals, interruptions, and model settings without a relay backend.
  • Implemented remote thread management, goals, streamed agent turns, and Git pull/commit/push actions for a constrained wearable interface.
  • Hardened the transport with Keychain-backed credentials, host-key fingerprint pinning, and cached state for short offline periods.

04 · Rollplay

GitHub ↗
JavaScript Binary Parsing WebCodecs MIDI MP4

A dependency-free, browser-native FL Studio and Ableton Live project visualizer, MIDI exporter, and MP4 renderer that keeps music files in the browser.

  • Parses FL Studio binaries and gzip-compressed Ableton Live XML in the browser to reconstruct tempo, MIDI tracks, arranged clips, loops, note velocity, and timing.
  • Renders a configurable animated piano roll with track layers, hit effects, particle styles, drag-and-drop ordering, and portrait or landscape presets.
  • Exports standards-compliant multi-track MIDI and H.264/AAC MP4 through WebCodecs and a built-in ISO BMFF multiplexer—without a backend or external CDN.

05 · Ultimate Toolbox

GitHub ↗
C# WinUI 3 .NET 8 PowerShell Inno Setup

A native WinUI 3 utility that turns FR33THY's Ultimate library of 104 Windows tweak scripts into a Settings-style app with on/off toggles, dropdowns, and live state detection.

  • Generated the whole catalog with a Python parser that converts each upstream script's menus and options into data-driven controls—toggles, dropdowns, and actions—instead of hand-translating 104 scripts.
  • Detects current tweak state from per-option registry signatures (45 of 104 live-detectable), persists last-applied state for the rest, and runs everything hidden with output in an in-app logs page.
  • Ships x64 and ARM64 installers from GitHub Actions; on ARM64, steps that only exist for x86 get replacement behavior instead of dead ends.

06 · GPT Transcribe

GitHub ↗
Swift Python macOS Windows OpenAI API

A lightweight, cross-platform dictation utility that turns one global hotkey into a transcription workflow for macOS and Windows.

  • Built native macOS menu-bar and Windows tray implementations with live streaming transcript insertion, standard transcription, global hotkeys, and retry workflows.
  • Handled microphone and Accessibility permissions, device selection, launch at login, failed-recording recovery, and Keychain-backed API key storage on macOS.
  • Added offline Swift and Python test suites plus GitHub Actions packaging for a macOS DMG and Windows installer.

07 · Gemini Watch

GitHub ↗
SwiftUI watchOS Gemini API SSE On-device storage

A standalone Apple Watch Gemini client that streams conversations directly on watchOS over Wi-Fi or cellular—without an iPhone companion app.

  • Implemented streaming chat over Gemini's Server-Sent Events endpoint with local conversation history, editing, regeneration, pinning, and deletion.
  • Built a compact SwiftUI experience with markdown and LaTeX rendering, context-aware quick replies, live model discovery, and 40mm/41mm tuning.
  • Added grounded web search, text-to-speech, adjustable creativity, haptics, and customizable system prompts while keeping chats on the watch.

08 · AM Download

GitHub ↗
C++ macOS Windows yt-dlp FFmpeg AtomicParsley

Native macOS and Windows front ends for creating tagged M4A files from public music and social sources for an Apple Music library.

  • Wrapped yt-dlp, FFmpeg, and AtomicParsley in native desktop workflows with clipboard URL detection, metadata overrides, folder selection, progress, and cancellation.
  • Embeds source artwork, metadata, and chapters automatically while preserving untouched source fields when users override only selected values.
  • Automates tagged builds for a macOS app plus Windows portable and installer releases through GitHub Actions.
